The last quarter of 2018, October to December recorded 33 freedom of expression violations in 16 countries in Africa. Ghana recorded the highest number of violations (6) followed by Guinea and Mali with three violations each. Our monitoring indicated there was increased advocacy for improved freedom of expression and safety of journalists’ situation.
